* The voice samples were originally stored in ADPCM (NEC µPD7759) format at 8000 Hz. These have been converted to 16-bit PCM at 48000 Hz in WAV files.
* All the voice samples were extracted directly from the game's ROM. In order to do so, I created a custom C# program (with help from DeepSeek and based on MAME & VGMPlay's NEC µPD7759 chip implementation) to decode the original ADPCM data into PCM.
* All voice samples are listed by their voice ID in the Sound Test option from the Service Mode menu. The only exception are a few samples that aren't available in the Sound Test.

+-------------+
* Almost all characters' voice samples can be found in the "Opponents" folder. For Schezo, Rulue and Satan/Masked Satan, however, they were given their own folders due to the discovery of unused chain voice samples for them.
  * According to the book "ALL ABOUT Puyo Puyo Tsu", these chain voices were planned to be used in the Arcade version's four player versus mode (which is only available in some cabinets). Player 1 would be Arle, player 2 would be Schezo, player 3 would be Rulue and player 4 would be Satan.
  * Based on existing footage of the four player version, however, these chain voices weren't implemented and Arle's voice is used as in regular gameplay.
  * Unlike other unused voice samples, these chain voices can't be selected in the Sound Test menu.

* MAME and VGMPlay, whose source code and documentation of the NEC µPD7759 chip (originally by Juergen Buchmueller, Mike Balfour, Howie Cohen, Olivier Galibert, and Aaron Giles) was heavily referenced for the creation of this program.
* DeepSeek AI, which was used for development assistance for the custom C# program for NEC µPD7759 ADPCM decoding.
